the manual FSCC
About

Not more content.
More signal.

the manual is a structured cycling knowledge system. Not a magazine. Not a blog. Not another publication racing to be first.

It exists to answer the questions cyclists ask — with evidence, structure, and the kind of clarity that holds up over time.

Four content types. Each does one job.
Reference
Explains. Deep, sourced, structured. The canonical answer.
FAQ
Answers. Direct answer first, then context. One question per page.
Glossary
Defines. One term, one definition. Dictionary precision.
Tools
Calculates. Input in, answer out. Practical utility.
Trust is not a badge. It is a practice.

Every page shows its sources. Review dates are visible. When evidence is mixed, the manual says so. When the best available answer is a heuristic, it is labeled as one.

There is no house style that papers over uncertainty.

What this is not.

Published by fieldscout.cc. Small, independent, no venture funding. No editorial board beholden to advertisers.

If something is here, it is here because it is useful. That is the only test.

The pennant is an homage to the bicycle head badge. A mark of origin, fixed to the thing it represents. Its colors classify content. Its geometry shapes the page.
